Roles and Responsibilities
1. Job Summary
To handle all accounting aspects pertaining to ready mix concrete plant. Ensure correct accounting of raw material invoices, expenses pertaining to plant, reconciliation with vendors/customers, monthly stock-taking, and collating data for MIS.
Scrutiny of all expenses. Analysis of raw material and Distribution costs and suggesting improvement areas.
2. Tasks and Responsibilities
(a) Raising POs on vendors (as per rates confirmed by the Commercial team) for the supply of raw materials.
(b) Accounting of Raw material invoices.
(c) Ensuring that invoices raised by vendors are in line with the agreements entered into with them/PO raised.
(d) Accounting of expense invoices like TM/pump hire, security charges, conversion charges, utility bills, and any other plant-related expenses subject to all required approvals being in place.
(e) Follow-up with vendors for invoices/CNs (if any).
(f) Issuing CN to customers for quantity/rate differences subject to all required approvals being in place.
(g) Stock verification of raw materials at month's end.
(h) Reconciling daily production report with sales qty., dumped/diverted concrete.
(i) Filing vendor invoices and acknowledgment copies of invoices received from customers.
(j) Sending balance confirmation letters to vendors/customers.
(k) Reconciliation with vendors/customers.
(l) Periodical ledger scrutiny to ensure the correctness of accounting.
(m)Collating all the information required for plant MIS.
(n) Any other accounting work that may be assigned.
3. Qualifications
a. Essential Academic/Educational Qualifications: B.Com/M.Com
4. Experience
a. Minimum period of relevant experience required (in years) 3 to 4 years.
Nature/ Type of Experience required:
c. Industries where such experience can be acquired: RMC industry background. Ready to work from ready mix concrete plant.
5. Behavioral Competencies
Knowledge of the RMC industry. Willing to work under pressure. Sound understanding of accounting in Tally/ERP/SAP.
